Generation Unified

Special Olympics PA – Philadelphia is partnering with the Satell Institute Youth Enrichment Series to offer a “Generation Unified” virtual enrichment program that will engage participants in weekly activities focused on the core themes of Special Olympics: health, wellness, leadership and inclusion!

Subject Matter: Health & Wellness, Leadership Development

Targeted Age Groups: High School (Grades 9-12) and Transition (students preparing for life after high school)

Class Size: 15 – 20 Students

Date/Time Offered: October 27 –  December 22, 2021, every Wednesday, 6:00-7:00pm

About the Course:
Utilizing Special Olympics North America’s Unified Champion Schools Unified Classroom curriculum and content that is accessible, relevant and engaging, qualified instructors from Temple University will facilitate community building sessions where participants can participate in comfortable dialogue, and grow as individuals, while also working on social skills and leadership development. 

Participants will:

  • Gain an increased sense of belonging
  • Improve communication skills, including technical skills, digital literacy, and social skills
  • Increase confidence and proficiency with goal-setting
