Excerpt from the Sons of Ben Blog for ‘Stashe Bash 2016

Thank you to everyone involved with Stache Bash 2016! Whether you helped set up the event, donated a raffle item, participated in the bucketball tournament or the King of Stache Bash competition, donated soccer equipment, donated to the King of SB competition or bought raffle tickets – thank you!

Through the King of Stache Bash, the bucketball tournament and the raffles, we raised just over $2,000 for the Unified Soccer program of Special Olympics for Philadelphia!

Congratulations to all of our raffle winners, our bucketball champions and all the King of SB competitors – Doug Branson, Dave Wrenn, Ryan Bross and our new King of Stache Bash – Pat Wolenter! Special shout out to Pat for raising over $500!

Through the equipment drive, we were able to collect countless amounts of soccer balls, cleats, socks, pinnies, jerseys, goal keeper gloves and more! This year’s haul was just as big, if not more than last years! We would literally be able to pack over 10 of our collection boxes with the donated equipment! Special thanks to Staci Klemmer and Montgomery United, C.T. Cordelle, and Kieran Todd, and everyone else who went out of their way to donate to the equipment drive. Congratulations to Cliff Kellett for winning the equipment drive raffle!

We also want to thank Britt Kleine, the Director of Philly’s Special Olympics programs for coming out on Sunday and speaking about the programs.

Special thanks to all the individuals and companies that donated to the raffle – Ray Gaddis, the Philadelphia Union, Earl Gardner, Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Zoo, Jason Richardson and Aloft Hotels, Chrissy Sakers, and Britt Kleine.

Thanks for coming out Sunday and for all your continued support! We will be sharing some important dates soon for volunteer opportunities to help with the Unified Soccer games throughout the season.
