Intern with Special Olympics PA – Philadelphia to gain experience in the non-profit sector. Interns will gain real-life work experience in the office and in the field of a sports-oriented non-profit. Although all internship positions are unpaid if the job requires traveling – all travel, food and housing expenses will be covered.
Company Description: Special Olympics PA – Philadelphia’s mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Recommended Qualifications: Microsoft Office, Word Press, Social Media (Facebook and Twitter), experience writing press releases and news articles. This person needs to be personable, self-motivated, strategic, creative and innovative. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in public settings, meeting new people and speaking to groups.
