Brian Monihan

President, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia


Brian Monihan joined the network in 2009 as Senior Vice President and General Manager and was announced President in July, 2012.  During his tenure, the network has experienced strong growth both on-air and online, garnering all-time ratings records. Brian also spearheaded the launch of pregame programs for all the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and Sixers and secured a multi-year broadcasting deal with the Philadelphia Union.

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, along with The Comcast Network has been awarded 29 Emmy Awards since 2009 and won its first National Edward R. Murrow Award in 2012.

In addition to his support of Special Olympics, Brian’s community engagement is evident having won the 2011 Face Off for a Cure MVP from Autism Speaks and the National Hockey League and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Comcast SportsNet Shining Star Awards benefitting the March of Dimes.

Monihan is a 1983 graduate of Boston College and resides in Moorestown, NJ, with his wife and four children.
